Solder Paste Kit - No refrigeration required

This kit provides a fast, low cost entry into soldering of surface mount components. The cornerstone of the kit is the revolutionary AMTECH SynTECH-LF solder paste.

Most flux based solder pastes require refrigeration, have a short shelf life and must be shipped overnight in expensive containers. If you need a lead-free solution please see our SynTECH lead-free solder paste kit. With its new synthetic flux formulation, AMTECH's SynTECH solder requires no refrigeration (although it will extend its useful life) nor does it require expensive shipping. It can be soldered by hand, hot air or reflow oven. It also wicks fine using standard solder wick for clearing the inevitable short or two.

Included in the kit are a 35g syringe of solder paste with a nominal 6 month shelf life, manual plunger and an assortment of 8 different stainless 1/2 inch solder tips. The bore range will allow dispensing solder down to QFP and QFN scale pitch devices and larger. The syringe incorporates an internal red cap for use with pneumatic dispensing equipment. This should remain in place when using the manual syringe.

Don't be tempted by other kits that don't provide a complete solution or provide only cheap, plastic dispensing tips that cannot be used for fine-pitch components.

A special note for those who keep asking. No - you will not get the tube pictured. We turn over our stock of solder paste about once a month so the solder you will receive will be at most one month old and have at least 5 months of life unrefrigerated and 11 months refrigerated.
