PCB Stock – 3x4 2 sided plated
If you've worked with standard copper clad board making circuit boards, you know copper oxidizes as fast as you can polish and clean it. It makes soldering very difficult, particularly with surface mount components and solder paste that doesn't typically have enough flux to clean and solder directly to bare copper. If you've tried any of the chemical tinning solutions you also know how messy it is for a surface that is not much better than bare copper.
We looked and found a supplier in bulk of pre-plated copper clad board for milling our own circuit boards. It is available in both single and double sided cladding, but the supplier informs us the pre-plating process has a tendency to warp the board material so we are only carrying the double sided boards at this time. This means you will have to mill both sides or simply peel the copper off one side.
We are offering small pre-plated board blanks that we shear from our bulk stock. It is by far the best solution for milling PCBs, particularly those with surrface mount components. The soldering properties are far superior, whether done by soldering iron, hot air station or oven.
We offer two sizes - 4 x 6 inch and 3 x 4 inch blanks.
